At the suggestion of one of my dearest friends, I am going to start to keep a diary. She seems to feel that the act of being Self Employed is worthy of writing about.

I will research the statistics and find out how many people currently in the UK are self employed. My gut feeling is that there are quite a few of us. We are a large community that are rarely talked about. I think most people hear the phrase 'self employed' and hear 'unemployed' instead, and we all know that the 'unemployed' are dirty rotten theives and lazy people and that it is contagious if you spend too much time in their company.

I am, however, the first to admit that more often then not I am indeed in that state that is 'unemployed'.

We are, in my experience, a misunderstood and sometimes feared group of people. We should rebel! People who are Self Employed unite! Let us convert the masses! Let us educate the world about our world! Let us stand as one! Ha. There is no group in the world more unlikely to start a rebellion then a group of people who are self employed. BUT, it is not because we are lazy.
